Ooooooooooklahoma!

Dear all,

I know I have been very remiss in updating my little blog. For those of your that have been anxiously awaiting updates I first say sorry and then say....surely there are more exciting things going on in your life!!! Only joking! I will now try to be more diligent in my posts.

To update you all, Adrian is now deployed so I am all by my lonesome. Truthfully though I am handling it pretty well I think. I am still enjoying my Japanese language courses and have also taken up Ikebana (Japanese flower arranging courses) and various other crafty things!

Right before A reported for duty, we spent a week visiting with my family on Long Island and spending the night in Manhatten on a little city living excursion. We lived it up! We had lunch at Jean-Georges, one of the best restaurants in Manhatten thanks to our good friend Mariana. There were no celebrity sightings like I was hoping for....my dad had lunch there next to Trump once, but the food was out of this world. I highly recommend the Squab if you go. If you don't know...I'm not telling what Squab is! Live dangerously :)

We also saw a broadway show! A's first! It was "Curtains" and it was a riot! It starred David Hyde Pierce of Fraiser fame. I'd say two thumbs up and go see it if you are in the big apple! To my European readers...the cost should be about .73 cents a ticket by now!

Following New York, I headed off to a conference in Oklahoma singing Surrey with a fringe on top the whole way. The conference was very productive and I enjoyed my first visit to the mid-west! I have included some pictures...one of my favorite statue at the OU campus, one of me in Bricktown in downtown Oklahoma City (which I think, for those of you that know it, looks like certain parts of Birmingham, UK), and the very lovely memorial to the 1995 Oklahoma city bombing.

I will post new Okinawa pictures soon I promise!

Best as always!
